CG Toolkit - The making of LEON

This DVD covers the creation of Leon*s masterfully crafted clay sculpture. It runs over two hours and will give you a complete inside look at the creation of a high-end creature model. After modeling and detailing are complete, you can watch as the sculptor airbrushes Leon*s color textures.

The finished model was laser scanned and resurfaced to be rigged for animation inside Alias Maya. Leon*s detail is captured into an extremely high resolution displacement map that is later applied at render time. Leon*s paint job was captured in the form of digital pictures that serve as reference material inside Photoshop where the final color texture maps were created.
